Strong collaborations, synergies and clustering activities with other Europen projects and networks are key to ensuring Bio4HUMAN’s success.

Below is a list of projects and networks with which we collaborate.

Projects

CALIMERO is a European Project that aims to create a common framework for the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies of certain bio-based industries’ sectors.

The project ended on 31st October 2025.

LUCRA is a Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) funded initiative that aims to demonstrating the technical and economic feasibility of turning organic waste into bio-succinic acid on a pre-industrial scale.

PRESERVE is a Horizon 2020 funded project that enhances bio-based packaging in terms of properties that currently limit the application of bioplastics as well as in terms of end-of-life, and more.

Thr project ended on 31st December 2024.

LCA4BIO is a Horizon Europe project that aims to provide precise, reliable, and harmonized evaluation tools that demonstrate the superior performance of bio-based products. LCA4BIO paves the way for sustainable industrial practices and aligns with the European Commission’s zero-pollution objectives by identifying the best available technologies.

EU Farm-book logo

EU-FarmBook is a Horizon Europe project that is building an online platform to collect and share agricultural and forestry knowledge at regional, national, and European (EU) levels.

EU-FarmBook addresses the real needs of farmers, foresters, and advisors. The platform offers an interactive, multilingual space where agricultural and forestry communities can access practice-oriented materials. By adhering to the principles of FAIR data (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable), EU-FarmBook ensures that users can explore innovative ways to overcome their daily challenges.

The BIORADAR Project, funded and supported by the EU’s Horizon Europe programme and the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU), aims to help organisations, policymakers and investors have the necessary information to step towards a more sustainable, bio-based economic model by taking a system perspective to fill the indicator gaps in material circularity and evaluating the environmental, economic and social impacts of industrial bio-based systems by developing digital monitoring tools that will provide benchmarks and a self-assessment platform for bio-based industries.

BIO-INSPIRE aims to empower and build bridges between seven regional bioeconomy clusters in Greece, Hungary, Slovakia, Lithuania, Romania, Bulgaria, and Poland. BIO-INSPIRE will develop a Governance Roadmap that provides a clear, step-by-step framework for establishing long-term, sustainable collaboration. The roadmap will help bioeconomy actors overcome existing obstacles, improve their innovation capacity, and foster cross-border cooperation to unlock new growth opportunities. BIO-INSPIRE will provide tailored capacity-building tools and digital collaboration platforms, such as creating 8 thematic Communities of Practice for knowledge exchange, launching a knowledge transfer programme, organising a cross-border open call, and establishing a cooperation and clustering network.

Networks

EUBioNet logo

The European Bioeconomy Network (EuBioNet) is a proactive alliance of 160 EU funded projects and initiatives dealing with Bioeconomy promotion, communication and support. The main goal is to maximise the efforts, increasing the knowledge sharing, networking, mutual learning, coordination of joint activities and events.

The EU CAP Network is a forum through which National CAP Networks, organisations, administrations, researchers, entrepreneurs and practitioners can share knowledge and information (e.g. via peer-to-peer learning and good practices) about agriculture and rural policy.

The Network supports the design and implementation of CAP strategic plans, innovation and knowledge exchange, including EIP-AGRI, and evaluation and monitoring of the CAP.

The aim of the BIO-INSPIRE Clustering and Cooperation Network (CCN) is to create an overarching platform including the BIO-INSPIRE regional clusters, National Bioeconomy Hubs, and representatives of identified relevant EU-funded projects on bioeconomy, and blue bioeconomy. The CCN will also strive to include associations, other networks, hubs and organizations, research, and business clusters, interested in the network’s activities and looking for cooperation opportunities. The purpose of the network is to provide a platform to connect bioeconomy actors for cooperation, joint actions and knowledge sharing in a collaborative manner across the regions during the duration of the BIO-ISNPIRE project and potentially after as well. CCN will facilitate a channel for joint workshops and webinar series, sharing common and key methodologies across members, carry out joint C&D activities, cross-participate in workshops, EU funding info days, networking events, and other project events, as well as the BIO-INSPIRE training opportunities.
